hsueh001:  Head gaskets can go at anytime. However, it's more related to how well you maintain the vehicle and how you drive it than anything. You won't know if you need the head machined until you take the head off. You can get a straight edge to determine if the heads warped due to the broken head gasket. If they aren't warped you can just replace the head gasket. However, I would recommend taking the head off yourself and taking it in to a machine shop to be sure. They can tell you if it warped. If you're planning on keeping the car, it's probably a good idea to have a head job done on it, especially on a Supra.
