i have a 1989 4 door toyota corolla dx and the front right speaker wont stay on, like i will hit the dash w/ my hand and it will go on for some time but eventually it will go out again, the connection to the speaker is fine so there must be something else wrong w/ it if anyone could help that would b great

ubet426: Sounds like a bad speaker... did you think of that. Go to the Toyota dealer and buy a new speaker.

geetarpicker04: Yo Fonzzy, you have a bad radio, or connection to the radio, if you hit the dash and the speaker works, then the problem has to be in the dash.

Take out both front speakers and switch them over.
If the problem stays on the right it's the connection (or wiring).
If the problem moves to the left, it's the speaker.
