automotive repair problem : Honda Accord (1995)?
My 1995 honda accord will not start. I have gas in it and when I start it , it sounds like it wants to start, but it never turns over to start. Any money saving suggestions before I call the Auto shop ?

marvin_g_33334:  I would try jump starting it first - Batteries usually last 3 to 4 years.- sometimes 5 - OR the starter could have Loose wires or Dirty battery Terminals, Check under the battery connections first 2 C if they are clean & shiny !

dovacor99:  I would first check the fuel pressure pump. Open it just a little then try to start the car. If gas goes flying everywhere then its good. Sec check to see if the spark plugs are good. Thrid, check the distributor and check the ignition coil. I just had a similar problem with my gsr. Engine cranked up but wouldn't start nor with a push start. A new coil did the job.
