Kare?Bear:  I will come back to you with an edited answer...about a year ago we had our Dodge Caravan towed because of a problem that was way too expensive to repair (but can't remember exactly what it was - but suspension related). BRB never mind - it was a broken rocker arm support on the front cylinder head. My husband, an ex-mechanic, says it's hard to say unless he know what suspension component is bad. Tie rod? Ball joints?

jekin:  a little rust doesn't hurt. how does it ride. did you drive it on the beach in salt water. who said it was rusty. i think someone is trying to gyp you big time. the important parts of cars won't rust to destruction in 6 years

dodge man:  i own a repair shop,,and if its just a little rust it wont hurt anything on it,,if you try to replace everything that has rust on it its going to be a ridiculous price on repairing it,unless the rust has done some damage to a part and stopped it from working good i wouldn't worry about it,,especially if you live in a northern state where they use a lot of salt on the road,,its going to rust,and you cant stop it from doing it,,if it runs and drive good and does not handle bad id drive it,the rust issue will continue to grow on the vehicle ,,time and salt gets all of them,,good luck i hope this help,s.
