can any one tell me where the ring is on the drive shaft for the a,b,s, braking ,i have been told it could be causing the a,b,s, to kick in on normal driving, and describe it please, it may be cracked

D42D: normally no ring or tone wheel is on drive shaft . it will either be in the wheel end or in the differential depending on the car you are dealing with

Alibi: I assume you mean an ABS ring on the end of a CV axle, towards the wheel?
This will depend on the car, but in general it is a toothed ring that is slid over the end of the CV axle where it attaches into a wheel hub.

JOHN R: It doesn't have a ring its a serrated CV joint the sensor plcks up the serrations as they pass
