dodge man:  i own a repair shop,and it can be a real pricey thing,,depending on who does it,,all shops have different labor rates,,and it would also depend on what parts was needed,,the head will have to be trued up ,to make sure a new head gasket will last on it,,so id say its probably going to cost you around 400 bucks at the least to get this done,,and that's kind of on the low side of it,,it could go as high as 600 depending on what all they find wrong with it,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

brian l:  the car isnt worth that kind of investment.400.00 -- 600.00 is right for the low side. 1,400.00 if the head is cracked more if the cylinder walls are ruined.plus its a 20 year old car who knows whats next.
