:  take the knob for the lights and turn it. On Some vehicles, this will control the lights for the inside of the car and for the lights on the panel (the panel lights which light up when you turn the car lights on). My 98 Chrysler van has a seperate round knob and the lights for my radio went out. I thought something had broke till I accidentally tried to brighten up my instrument panel lights and viola, my radio panel lights came on. lol

:  its probably a blown fuse. Alot of cars have the 2 fuses for the radio. One for the lights ,and the other for the rest of the radio. The one for the lights is normally connected to your panel lights. You can check yourself, just look at the fuse box, and look for the panel lights or interior lights.
