Tell me an average estimate to repair the engine of a diesel fiat uno ?
I like Fiat Uno Diesel very much but if I buy it in India now I would get only a high mileage car like 80000-100000 km run car. I want to get an idea about the cost of a diesel engine repair for a car like uno diesel, please tell the amount in Indian rupees

Boneflute: i have never know of an standard diesel engine repair, this are engines than usually doesn't fail, but have some expensive parts, specially the injection pump, that can be repaired for far less than a new one, the other possible failure is loss of compression, but solving this is not very different in cost than in a gas engine, really if you will buy a diesel engine with that mileage, you shouldn't have problems if the engine was cared of, for example changed oil on regular basis on don`t run the engine like an F1 car, you don't have to be afraid of diesel, you will be impressed with its reliability, maybe not with some Fiat electric and parts quality problems, but the diesel its the less likely thing to fail in this car, good luck
